Seasons (2005-2008)
The Seasons series is a conceptual representation of the life cycle and by implication the aging process. In this work I photographed the landscape from a window or glass doors. Each piece was photographed for one year from the same location with the same composition. The photographs were not taken over regular or specific intervals. The photographs are arranged in a grid pattern. The grid is seven images wide to signify a week. The first piece depicts the clear glass door and windows of a college photo lab. The sign “photo lab” is seen in reverse. The other pieces are taken from windows or doors in my house.
Each composite is a 40x 50 inch laminated giclee print.
